to be employed for a period of 12 months, starting on 1st December 2024, with the possibility of extension and a weekly working load of 10 or 12 hours (depending on personal availability).

The positions are within the Global Governance unit at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. Global Governance is a vibrant research community conducting leading research on political processes at the international level. The WZB is a publicly financed, non-profit research institution that conducts theory-based and problem-oriented social science research (http://www.wzb.eu/en). WZB researchers come from all around the globe and work across social science disciplines including sociology, political science, economics, law, and psychology. A member of the Leibniz Association, WZB’s research is directed at the science community, experts and decision makers in politics, business and society, the media, and the general public.

Your tasks and duties
- Supporting the researchers with tasks such as research and review of literature; collection, analysis, and visualization of data; editorial work on manuscripts.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s student in International Relations, Political Science, Sociology, or a related discipline;
- Very good course achievements;
- Very good command of written and spoken English and/ or German languages;
- At least one of the desired qualifications listed below.
- Knowledge of theories and debates in International Relations, Political Science, or a related discipline;
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods;
- Experience with reference management programmes (e.g., Zotero, Citavi, EndNote);
- Experience in methods of data collection, processing, and management (e.g., using STATA, R or Python);
- Experience in language editing of academic texts in the English language.
