This database contains: Biological Abstracts Archive, 1926-1968 Biological Abstracts, 1969-2004 References to articles from approximately 6,500 periodicals in the fields of biology, botany, medicine, pharmacology, microbiology, ecology, parasitology, toxicology, and environmental sciences. BIOSIS Previews Archive, 1926-1968 BIOSIS Previews, 1969-2004 BIOSIS Previews contains the references of journal articles and references to conference reports, books, dissertations, and gray literature. The collection comprises more than 3.5 million bibliographical entries, generally with abstracts.

The Book Citation Index contains over 40,000 (as per 2013) editorially selected scientific books (online and print editions) published since 2005 in a wide range of disciplines. 10,000 new titles are to be added each year, including volumes published as a series. As a module in the Web of Science Core Collection, the Book Citation Index adds over 13.5 million references to that collection. Among other things, it allows users to search for comprehensive bibliographic information and to display the accurate numbering of citations (in journals, conference papers, and books).

Covers the proceedings of conferences, symposiums, seminars, workshops, and congresses worldwide. The "Cited Reference Search" tool allows users to identify the conference proceedings that were cited most frequently.

The database indexes journal essays, reports, congress reports, and other kinds of literature on all areas of sports sciences, including sports medicine and sports sociology. It also has abstracts dating back to 2001.

PsycINFO (American Psychological Association) covers the international literature in all areas of psychology and in related fields of medicine, psychiatry, of nursing care, sociology, pedagogics, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, anthropology, economic and legal sciences. Sources include approx. 2,000 journals, books, dissertations, and technical reports via platform Ovid. Bibliographic information, indexing terms, and abstracts are searchable.

PSYNDEX covers German and English publications from authors in the German-speaking countries from all areas of psychology and related behavioral and social sciences such as psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, sociology, education, philosophy, sports, criminology, linguistics, and applied economics. Also included are audiovisual media as well as psychological, psychiatric, and educational tests developed or in use in the German-speaking countries (including published and nonpublished tests, adaptations of American, English and other-language tests, informal research instruments). Sources include approximately 540 journals, books, chapters, reports, and dissertations. Bibliographic information, indexing terms, and abstracts are searchable in German and English.

Web of Science (WoS) is an extensive, multidisciplinary, bibliographical database with references to contributions in journals, books, proceedings, and other sources in the social sciences, the arts and humanities, natural science, and engineering.
