The e-book collection contains works on history, geography, the fine arts, the social sciences, language and literature, theology and philosophy, law, medicine, natural science, and technology. Nearly 40 million pages are available for full-text searches with simple and advanced search criteria. -

Jacobs is the world's largest full-text database on the history of women and of feminism. It consists of books, periodicals and pamphlets, reflecting the development of feminist consciousness and the women's rights movement. Covering four centuries it is much more far-reaching than the existing national licenses. The collection contains approximately 2 million pages of publications from Europe, North America and New Zealand in 15 different languages. wo segments are included: Periodical Series (256 journals, with 471,875 articles, over 95,000 of them in German) Monograph Language Series (4,291 monographs and pamphlets): 2,336 English songs, 929 German songs, 734 French titles, 472 titles in 12 other languages (E-book collection) -

Research area: Economics, Political Science, Sociology, History Language: English Period: 1460 - 1850 The Making of the Modern World is a comprehensive collection of literature on economics from the second half of the fifteenth century through the mid-nineteenth century. It is important chiefly for research on early economic, political, and social history. The site draws on collections of the Goldsmiths' Library of Economic Literature at the University of London and on the Kress Library of Business and Economics of Harvard University's Graduate School of Business Administration. The Making of the Modern World grants full-text access to more than 61,000 books that appeared between 1460 and 1850 as well as 466 series and individual journals predating 1906-nearly 12 million pages in all. The site focuses on economic activity in the broadest sense, including political science, history, sociology, and additional other special collections on transport, banking and finance, and the crafts. -
