Prof. Dr. Mascha Will-Zocholl
Mascha Will-Zocholl is a professor of sociology of the digitalisation of work and organisation at the Hessian University of Public Management and Security (HöMS) in the Department of Administration. She has been researching the transformation of the world of work in the context of advancing digitalisation for over 15 years. The focus is on questions such as how employees themselves assess current developments, how work processes and organisation are changing, to what extent professional identities and the self-image of occupational groups are affected, or how the overall understanding of work is changing on an individual, but also on a societal level. (For an overview of publications and projects, see https://mawizo.de) Currently, the focus is on public administration as a field of research. In cooperation with colleagues at the WZB, we will analyse to what extent the consequences of the Corona pandemic differ between the private sector and public administration in terms of the extent and speed of digitisation and automation processes, and how work changes under these conditions.
