Sarah Naima Roller is a research fellow at the research group Politics of Digitalization at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. She is part of the joint project “Oversight and intelligence networks: Who guards the guardians?” (GUARDINT), where democratic control of surveillance is investigated. At GUARDINT, she works on the intelligence oversight index, specifically, she compares modes of intelligence oversight and conceptualizes statistical methodologies. Before joining the Berlin Social Science Center, she completed her M.Phil. (Sociology) at the University of Cambridge where she researched ideas of financialization. Sarah previously studied Political Sciences and Economics (B.A.). Her research interest lies with political theory and international relations, in particular, ideas of accountability and formations of political space beyond the nation state.
