Main content

Our research focuses on the areas of education, family and gainful employment. In each case, the changes and their effects on the life courses of people of different ages are examined.

There are three main areas of focus:

  • education and labor market research, which focuses, among other things, on the interplay between formal certificates, qualifications, and skills upgrading
  • research on social inequality and segregation, especially in the context of gender, social origin, life plan, and course of life
  • research policy, such as interdisciplinarity, which evolve directly from the President's institutional responsibilities and her activities in research management.

Further information about the ongoing and completed projects of the President's Research Group can be found in more detail here.
