Internet Governance – Actors, discourses and institutions

Abstract

As part of POLDI’s agenda, we conduct empirical and theoretical research on Internet Governance, which we understand as the sum of all negotiation and coordination processes concerning the different policy issues related to the global Internet. Our research in the field of Internet Governance focusses in particular on the constellations of actors and discourses and the institutional framework that has developed for global Internet Governance over the last decades. We also engage in critical reflection on the multi-stakeholder approach in Internet Governance processes and on possible alternatives.
