Tiziana Nazio ist Marie-Curie-Fellow-Forscherin in der Forschungsgruppe Demografie und Ungleichheit innerhalb der Forschungseinheit Dynamik sozialer Ungleichheiten. Ihr Projekt CARe in an INterGenerational context (CARING) untersucht, wie sich Veränderungen in frühen Familienbildungsverläufen über Geburtskohorten in späteren intergenerationellen Beziehungen widerspiegeln.
Tiziana Nazio promovierte an der Universität Bielefeld (2004), bevor sie am Centre for Demographic Studies (CED) und an der Universität Pompeu Fabra (Spanien) (2003-2005) am Soziologischen Institut und am Nuffield College der Universität Oxford (UK) (2005) tätig war -2008). Sie ist Senior Researcher an der Universität Turin (IT, seit 2008) und Associate Fellow am Collegio Carlo Alberto (seit 2010), wo sie das Arbeitspaket zur Erforschung von Familienfahrern im Bereich Jugendarbeit im Rahmen des STYLE-Projekts leitete. Zuletzt war sie Mitglied des Exekutivkomitees der European Sociological Association - ESA (2013-15), Vorsitzende des Local Organization Committee für die 11. Konferenz der ESA (Turin 2011-2013, über 2600 Teilnehmer) und Vorsitzende des Konferenz Programmkomitees für die 12. Konferenz der ESA (Prag 2015, über 3400 Teilnehmer). Sie ist derzeit assoziiertes Vorstandsmitglied von Work, Employment & Society. Seit 2014 ist sie Mitglied der Wissenschaftlichen Komitees der Doctoral School in Economic Sociology and Labour Studies(Collegio Docenti), des Forum Internazionale ed Europeo di Ricerche sull'Immigrazione(FIERI), des Master in Public Policy and Social Change(MAPS) und des Research Center for Women's and Gender Studies (CIRSDe).
